How to Live a Healthy life

You may decide what to eat by what you have already. Or maybe you get what is close. Some get food that is good, when others get food that is good for them. Whatever your motivation to get food is, I may have some tips for a longer, healthier, life. I have learned about many things to help achieve a healthy lifestyle. Let’s start with blue zones
Blue Zones
Blue zones are places across the world that has a population that lives longer than regular places. These places all have healthy foods and Scientists are trying to uncover this secret of life. Even if you have good genes, you need a healthy lifestyle to get far in life. In the island coast of Costa Rico, there is no such thing as retirement. Everyone eats healthy from papayas to tortillas. In Sardinia, there is a wine that is good for you. It is the healthiest wine in the world. In Okinawa, they eat fish, fruit, and…tofu? Tofu is actually the perfect food. It is high in protein and low in fat. An active lifestyle also helps them so they can stay fit and gets your heart pumping. Learning about these blue zones have helped me with my lifestyle choices because it teaches me to eat better and live a healthier life.
Free Radicals
When there is a weak bond between two molecules, they split apart, creating free radicals. Weak bonds are formed by stress, lack of sleep and exercise, pollution, pressure, metabolism, radiation, and herbicides. These free radicals damage other molecules and cells, trying to steal other molecules for themselves. It turns the two molecules into free radicals and makes the attacking radical disappear. Then those two free radicals turn more molecules into free radicals, until all the molecules are free radicals. There is a solution. Antioxidants give free radicals their own electron to the free radical. Also, the antioxidants don’t become free radicals. Some good sources of antioxidants are pomegranates, ocai berries, and wheat grass tea.
My Pyramid
The My Pyramid is a chart shown in a pyramid to help you eat a healthy amount of food. Most people, including me, do not eat the recommended healthy food I should I should eat more in the milk food group and should eat less of the meat and bean group. Some influences can decide on what you eat. For example, Personal Preferences can affect my eating because I am picky and I like to eat what I think taste good. Also, emotions can affect my eating because when I am sad or angry I tend not to eat. A healthy way to eat is by planning your meal. By planning your meals, you can have a plan to eat healthy instead of eating junk food all day every day.
Being Physically Active
Being physically healthy helps maintain health because you need to help yourself in situations. It can help avoid risking your health. Things such as riding your bike, swimming, and running can help burn calories to help become physically healthy. Some things can stunt your physical health by playing video game a lot, watching TV too much or sitting on the couch doing nothing. This may make you feel like you have a bad body image. I have a good body image. But there are tons of reasons why other people have a bad body image. On TV, everyone is talking about a normal weight and that makes others feel fat.
Conclusion
Overall, I have learned that being healthy helps you through life and this has affected me and my family because we are trying to get healthier by eating better and exercise more.
